The voice of the youths, politician and Nollywood film actor, Yul Edochie who in recent time has been more of a social media activist, has said that white people has really messed up with our brains.
In a tweet he shared in the micro blogging site, remembering how teachers back then flogged students for speaking their native language.
According to him, those teachers should be ashamed of themselves for calling their own language vernacular and using a white man’s language as the general and the acceptable language.
“To think that some of our teachers flogged us back then in school for speaking our language.
Calling it vernacular.
Can you imagine?
You speak your own language you get flogged.
All those teachers should be ashamed of themselves.
